Our ultimate list of shochu (soju) recipies

WRITTEN BY: WRITTEN ON: February 25. 2009

We love shochu (soju). We love to share shochu. We traditionally love shochu on the rocks with a splash fresh juice, muddle of fresh fruit, or a splash of tea.

We’re always asked what are some good shochu (soju) recipes and would like to begin what we hope to be the ultimate list of shochu and soju recipes from the web.

Our goal of this page is to note shochu (soju) recipes where ever we can find them or with ones that people have created.

No matter what shochu (soju) you enjoy, share it with someone. Find haamonii (Japanese for harmony) in sharing. And remember to pour for others and not self.

What an awesome combination! That sounds awesome, the vermouth is probably a super interesting element. I’ll have to check out the TY KU facebook page for some external industry inspiration, thanks for turning me on to this! :)

One of my favorite Soju cocktails is one I found on the TY KU facebook page. It’s so easy to make too! 1.5 oz. TY KU Soju
    2 oz. Pineapple Juice
    Splash of Vermouth
Splash of Agave Nectar. Such a unique and refreshing taste, make it at your next event or gathering and I promise your guests won’t be disappointed.

hey alex, sounds like a great plan. anything that is fresh and in season will be a perfect compliment. if you like the sweet or tart, i’d go with the berries in season now. blackberries, raspberries, blueberries. fist fulls will do. leave them whole, but gently press them a bit to release their full flavors. if you’re into it, you can go herbs and peppers, but i’d go fresh fruits from the farm. kampai!

I am about to embark on making some infusions of Shochu. I’ve got the alcohol and the necessary jars. Not sure on the fruit yet. Any ideas anyone?
The Scochu bar in london and Toko in Sydney have inspired me so far.
