It’s not just a burger. It’s Umami Burger – the hottest eatery in LA today. And it’s NOT VODKA. It’s Haamonii Shochu (soju) – the world’s smoothest shochu… a match made in heaven.

LOCATION: Space 15 Twenty, Ivar and Sunset.
There is no need to RSVP. It’s an open event by Umami burger for all to share.
Guest Mixologists: “Top Notch” beverage consulting’s Steve Livigni and Daniel Nelson. Their bar experience in LA includes The Doheny, Spago, Providence, Four Seasons and The Hungry Cat. Asian inspired cocktails will be created for this special event.
Kung fu special: There will also be martial arts movies in the outdoor theatre.
Food specials: Seamami Scallop Burger with umami crust and Ahi Burger with wasabi aioli.
What does umami mean?: Taking its name from Japanese, umami is a pleasant savoury taste imparted by glutamate, a type of amino acid, and ribonucleotides, including inosinate and guanylate, which occur naturally in many foods including meat, fish, vegetables and dairy products. As the taste of umami itself is subtle and blends well with other tastes to expand and round out flavours, most people don’t recognise umami when they encounter it, but it plays an important role making food taste delicious.
