She’s Jocelyn Wong A.K.A The Wongstar, “Asian Triathlon Superstar”!

She’s the first and only Asian-American female professional Ironman triathlete in the world and a Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist (CPO) making the time to volunteer at prosthetic missions in third world countries and finding it a way to balance.

Let’s wish her a good journey as she leaves for  training in Thailand this Sunday, 1/31 for another year full of living, giving, and harmony.

- First and only Asian-American female professional triathlete in the world specializing in Ironman-distance triathlons: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run.

- Coached by Brett Sutton, “winningest coach of all time”, producer of 27 world champions in triathlon, swimming, and athletics.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

- Winner, 2009 Taean Greatman Ironman-distance triathlon (Taean, South Korea)

- Winner, 2009 Korean Triathlon Jeju Ironman-distance triathlon (Jeju, South Korea)

- Top 10 in professional field at all 6 ironman events in 2009 held in 5 countries: China, Korea, France, USA, Mexico

- Women’s Champion at the 2008 Stanford Triathlon Team ice cream eating competition. 2nd place OA. 4.5 bowls in 60 seconds! (her teeth hurt for 2 days afterwards)

- M.S. degree in Prosthetics & Orthotics from Georgia Tech
