We also believe whole-heartedly in supporting our local community and supporting causes that help bring about moments of harmony on a larger scale than the individual.

We’re small. We can’t change the entire world (yet), but we can help individuals in our community with their own journeys to make the world a better place for all.

Random Acts of Haamonii is our way of manifesting our desire to help local individuals do their part to bring harmony to the world.

Every month Haamonii will hold a cocktail fundraiser for the individual and cause we’ve selected to support.  Proceeds will benefit the individual involved.

January’s event is benefitting Michelle Dobrow, who has been offered an incredible opportunity in Africa working with developmentally-challenged children. Unfortunately, life marches on even when such great causes are being served, and as such Michelle needs help with expenses back home while she is gone serving a greater good. Haamonii is sponsoring her event to help her make her goals reality.

Happy to be here with you and ready to continue to share Haamonii (harmony) with all.

Last year was an inspirational one for us. Inspired by Tony Hsieh and his book Delivering Happiness, we are even more clear on what we need to do in our lives.

Here are our resolutions for 2011:

1. Create and establish CORE VALUES for our company – the team started at the end of last year to put together what ideas they have for core values (i.e. Zappos.com core values) and we’ll share our evolution of them until we publish them on our website.

2. Establish and act upon an even clearer PURPOSE in life – we truly believe in creating and sharing moments of harmony in life and we will do more towards living that purpose.

3. TINY DAILY ACTS that create harmony – establish a harmony (win-win-win) in all our daily interactions with our customers, partners, friends, and strangers – every little counts and we’ll start at making 1% acts toward harmony every day.

4. Think globally and ACT LOCALLY - be mindful of the world, but do things locally that can bring harmony to an individual’s life even for only a moment.

5. GROW – continually increase our ability to share harmony

Happy new year to you all.

May you find peace, happiness and Haamonii (harmony) in life this year.

- First and only Asian-American female professional triathlete in the world specializing in Ironman-distance triathlons: 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run.

- Coached by Brett Sutton, “winningest coach of all time”, producer of 27 world champions in triathlon, swimming, and athletics.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS:

- Winner, 2009 Taean Greatman Ironman-distance triathlon (Taean, South Korea)

- Winner, 2009 Korean Triathlon Jeju Ironman-distance triathlon (Jeju, South Korea)

- Top 10 in professional field at all 6 ironman events in 2009 held in 5 countries: China, Korea, France, USA, Mexico

- Women’s Champion at the 2008 Stanford Triathlon Team ice cream eating competition. 2nd place OA. 4.5 bowls in 60 seconds! (her teeth hurt for 2 days afterwards)
